BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Ayana Carmichael, a 12-year-old competitive dancer from Cocoa, has been named a finalist in the Youth Athlete of the Year competition, an event hosted by NFL star Russell Wilson and sponsored by 3BRAND.
Selected from thousands of young athletes across the country, Ayana is being recognized for her dedication, artistry, and the strong community support surrounding her journey.
Ayana began dancing at the age of two and has since mastered a range of styles, including ballet, hip-hop, and contemporary.
Her path to the national stage reflects years of discipline, creativity, and resilience. Family, coaches, and supporters describe her as a performer whose grace and determination stand out both on and off the stage.
The competition is about more than athletic achievement. While finalists compete for a $25,000 grand prize, the event also raises funds for The V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation, two organizations committed to advancing critical research and empowering youth.
