Eastern Florida State College Women’s Golf Team Leads Highlands Tournament

(EFSC) – The Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team is leading the Hooves at the Highlands tournament after the first round in Dothan, Alabama.

The Titans shot a 24-over and are leading Wallace State at the RTJ Golf Trail at Highland Oaks.

Ann Burel shot even par 72, firing 3-under 33 on the back nine, and is leading the tournament. Teammate Blair Powers shot a 4-over 76 and is in second place. Cayden Challacombe and Konstanze Anglett each shot 82, while Margaux Blais had an 84.

Vivian Luu shot an 86 as an individual.

“The golf course played difficult in the wind and we just need to clean up some unforced errors,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

The final round is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
