BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The New England Patriots have signed Rockledge native Jashaun Corbin after a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons before the 2025 regular season.
The addition of Corbin comes after Antonio Gibson’s season-ending injury.
Corbin attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy for three years while finishing his high school career at Rockledge High School.
In Corbin’s high school career, he rushed for 2,982 yards and 34 touchdowns, while also hauling in 85 receptions for 1,418 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Corbin’s football journey is one of determination and perseverance. Injuries marred his tenure at Texas A&M, and then Corbin had to fight for his starting position after transferring to Florida State.
Corbin finished his college career with 1,771 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, he also caught 60 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns.
However, it worked out for him as his performance as Seminole caught the eyes of the New York Giants.

Corbin spent time with the Giants, but only saw the field a handful of times, as the majority of it was spent on the practice squad.
Throughout that time, he gained valuable experience. Corbin was eventually picked up by the Carolina Panthers, spending a brief time on their practice squad.
Before the 2025 NFL season, Corbin played in the UFL with the San Antonio Brahmas, where he led the league in rushing; his performance once again impressed NFL teams.
Shortly after the UFL season, Corbin was signed by the Atlanta Falcons, giving him a shot to make the regular-season roster. That opportunity did not pan out as he had hoped, but the experience itself gave him greater confidence.

Now, as the NFL season approaches the halfway point, the New England Patriots have signed Corbin to their practice squad.
Although he has running backs ahead of him, there is a real chance he will see the field and take the load off of running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.
Patriots Vice President of Player Personnel Ryan Cowden has some familiarity with Corbin due to his time with the Giants as an executive advisor in 2023 and 2024.
If anything else, Corbin has been a perfect example of determination and perseverance; his journey is not finished, regardless of the outcome.
