Officials emphasize that emergency calls are being triaged, with priority given to life-threatening situations. Additional resources are being requested to assist with the high volume of incidents.

The department stresses the seriousness of the conditions, noting that several inches of rain have fallen in a very short period, leading to flash flooding and dangerous travel conditions.
