BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Hello everyone, Sheriff Wayne Ivey here with another edition of 10-94, our weekly look at the incredible work of the men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

As always, “10-94” is our radio code for backup — and today’s episode was all about stepping up to help our team and our community.

Our first call came from the Port St. John area, where deputies heard a medical emergency broadcast over the radio. Brevard County Fire Rescue and our deputies responded quickly, including Sergeant Harris and her team. I went 10-94 to back them up and check on the situation.

When we arrived, it turned out to be a medical episode, but fortunately, the individual was doing fine after receiving immediate care. Our partners from Fire Rescue handled the medical side while our deputies ensured the scene was safe and under control. As always, teamwork made the difference.

Next, I joined K-9 Deputy Andrew Johnson and Deputy Tyler Patterson for a trespass call — one that took us to a property that’s been a longtime nuisance for law enforcement. You may remember this location: it’s been the site of countless disturbances, graffiti, and other problems.

This address has been on our Sheriff’s High Intensity Target (HIT) list for quite some time. The individual responsible for many of the issues there is now behind bars, and new property management is taking charge to clean things up.

We’ll soon be conducting a HIT property cleanup and demolition, so stay tuned — it’s going to make a real difference in that neighborhood.

Later in the shift, we backed up Deputy Winsloff during a traffic stop involving a vehicle with no license plate. The driver claimed to be in the process of getting her license reinstated, but after checking records, deputies discovered her license was revoked and she had a long history of unpaid fines and child support warrants.

Deputy Winsloff and Deputy Scott Andrews handled the stop professionally, and the driver was taken into custody for driving with a revoked license. Let this serve as a reminder: if your license is suspended or revoked, don’t get behind the wheel. Take care of your obligations first, because if you drive illegally in Brevard County, you’ll be taking a trip to what I like to call “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge.”

It was another great day of teamwork and dedication from our deputies — serving, protecting, and backing each other up. That’s what 10-94 is all about: standing together to keep our community safe.

Until next time, stay safe, and we’ll see you on the next 10-94.
