BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Joseph Pellicano Law Enforcement Center now serves as the consolidated headquarters of the Melbourne Police Department, marking a new era in public safety for the city. Located at 250 W. NASA Boulevard, the modern facility brings together all police operations under one roof, replacing two aging buildings that had long exceeded their useful life.
Thanks to the support of Melbourne residents and City Council’s vision, MPD replaced two aging facilities with a modern, state-of-the-art building funded by voter-approved bonds in 2018. Bringing all police services under one roof helps us work more efficiently, strengthen disaster response, and continue providing the highest level of service to our community for decades to come.
The project was made possible through the support of Melbourne residents, who approved the bond measure in 2018, and through the commitment of City Council, which recognized the need for a safe, efficient, and future focused headquarters.
Their combined vision has resulted in a state of the art complex designed to strengthen daily operations, improve coordination, and enhance the department’s ability to respond during disasters and large scale emergencies.
By unifying police services within a single facility, the department can operate more effectively, streamline communication, and better support both officers and the community they serve. The Joseph Pellicano Law Enforcement Center stands as an investment in public safety that will serve Melbourne residents for decades to come.
