BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office hosted the 11th Annual Reverse Christmas Parade last week, along with our partners from the Cocoa Beach Police Department, Melbourne Police Department, Cocoa Police Department, Titusville Police Department, Palm Bay Police Department, Indialantic Police Department, West Melbourne Police Department, Melbourne Beach Police Department and Rockledge Police Department in various locations throughout Brevard County.
For over a decade, the “Reverse Christmas Parade” was held to help obtain donations of unwrapped Christmas Toys that are then given to kids in need during the Christmas Season by the various Law Enforcement agencies throughout Brevard County.
As always, this year’s event collected thousands of toys from local businesses and citizens who lined the streets waiting for the parade to travel by so they could do their part to help those who are less fortunate!
I would like to personally thank all of the businesses and citizens who came out to support the event, and of course, all of the Law Enforcement Agencies and volunteers who help make the event such a tremendous success each and every year.
When I say it takes a community to protect a community, this is exactly what I mean!! Our amazing citizens are partnering with Law Enforcement to make everyone’s Christmas magical!
