BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The 10th Annual Brevard County Professional Firefighters Chili Cook-Off heated up Cocoa Riverfront Park on Sunday, January 11, 2026, bringing together firefighters, families, and community members for an afternoon of food and fun along the Indian River.
The popular event ran from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Cocoa Riverfront Park, located at 401 Riveredge Boulevard, and marked a decade of friendly competition among local professional firefighters as they showcased their best chili recipes. Attendees had the opportunity to sample a variety of chilis, vote for their favorites, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in one of Cocoa’s most scenic waterfront locations.
In addition to the chili competition, the cook-off served as a community gathering that celebrated the dedication and service of Brevard County’s firefighters while offering residents a chance to interact with first responders outside of emergency situations.
Coverage of the milestone event was provided by Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson, Lisa Nichols and Orville Susong, who were on site capturing the sights, sounds, and flavors of the 10th annual cook-off.
The Brevard County Professional Firefighters Chili Cook-Off continued its tradition as a signature community event, drawing a strong turnout and highlighting a decade of good food, friendly rivalry, and local pride.
