BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Emergency Management announced that Tuesday, January 6, 2026, marked the final day for residents affected by 2025 flooding to apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration disaster loan online.

The Brevard County area suffered severe flooding that occurred due to proximity to hurricane Melissa that passed nearby in October of 2025.
The agency urged eligible individuals and businesses to complete their applications before the deadline to ensure consideration for financial assistance.
The SBA disaster loan program was made available to help residents recover from damages caused by the flooding, providing funds that may be used for repairs, replacement of damaged property, and other recovery-related needs.
Officials emphasize that the application process remains open through the end of the day on January 6.
Residents seeking assistance are directed to submit their applications online through the SBA’s disaster assistance website. Officials encourage those who have not yet applied to act quickly, noting that the deadline is firm and no extensions have been announced.
