Catawba College’s Ehmer Continues to Excel on the Soccer Field

Bree Ehmer, a junior soccer player at Catawba College, had a banner year in 2025. The former West Shore Wildcat led her team to the SAC Conference and Tournament Championship. Ehmer led the nation in scoring and was named Division II National Player of the Year.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former West Shore Jr/Sr High School graduate, Bree Ehmer, picked up in college right where she left off in high school.
While playing soccer for the Wildcats, she was a two-time Breakfast of Champions recipient, scoring 106 goals in her career.
Ehmer, a junior, currently plays soccer for the Catawba College Indians in the South Atlantic Conference.
This year, she was practically unstoppable. She finished the season with 20 goals and six assists for a conference-best 46 points. Ehmer ranked first nationally in scoring!

She was named SAC Offensive Player of the Year while leading her team to the SAC Conference and Tournament Championship. Ehmer received Division II Conference Commissioners’ Association (CCA) Southeast Region Player of the Year honors, the first student-athlete in Catawba College to earn the distinction.
Ehmer was then named a unanimous First Team All-American and capped off her season by being named Division II National Player of the Year.
Off the field, Ehmer was equally impressive. She was selected as the 2025 SAC Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. This award recognizes excellence in academics, athletics, service, and leadership.

Ehmer, a well-rounded student, is majoring in Sports Medicine and carries a cumulative 4.0 GPA. Among her many academic achievements are being named to the Dean’s List, SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, and CSC Academic All-District.
Ehmer is also a SAC Committee Member, Vice President of the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group, and volunteers regularly as a recreational youth soccer coach.
Bree Ehmer was a special talent at West Shore and remains one at Catawba College. The sky is the limit for Ehmer. There is no doubt that she will be successful in life. And I, for one, can’t wait to see where it takes her!
