BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The music of The Beatles will take center stage in Melbourne later this month as the Melbourne Community Orchestra presents The Beatles: A Symphonic Mystery Tour in two evening performances honoring the legendary Fab Four.

The concerts are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, January 28 and 29, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Melbourne Civic Auditorium, located at 625 Hibiscus Boulevard.

The 65-member orchestra will perform more than 25 beloved Beatles songs, blending symphonic arrangements with timeless pop melodies that helped define a generation.

Featured selections include Eleanor Rigby, Hey Jude, Yellow Submarine, Michelle, Love Is All You Need, and a suite of favorites written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Audience members arriving early will also be treated to a special pre-concert performance. At 6:15 p.m., a brass quintet will entertain the gathering crowd with Beatles arrangements made famous by the Canadian Brass.

Admission to The Beatles: A Symphonic Mystery Tour is free, continuing the orchestra’s tradition of offering accessible live music to the community. The Melbourne Community Orchestra is an all-volunteer nonprofit ensemble and serves as the Orchestra in Residence for the City of Melbourne under the direction of conductor Mark Nelson.

Nelson said the upcoming performances are expected to draw a full house, noting the enduring appeal of The Beatles across generations. He described the band’s combination of catchy lyrics, tight harmonies, and thoughtful ballads as key to why their music continues to resonate decades after its release.

The Melbourne Community Orchestra performs seven sets of free concerts each season, featuring a wide range of musical styles from classical works to popular music and film soundtracks.
