“Neighborhood Walk and Talks” like today give us the opportunity to not only keep our community safe by patrolling the streets, but also bring awareness to the citizens of different crimes that may be trending trying to make them crime’s next victim. (BCSO Image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This morning, myself along with members of our Mounted Posse Unit patrolled through Indian River Colony Club while getting a chance to interact with our citizens who loved meeting our Mounted Posse members, their incredible horses, and of course, Saint.

“Neighborhood Walk and Talks” like today give us the opportunity to not only keep our community safe by patrolling the streets, but also bring awareness to the citizens of different crimes that may be trending trying to make them crime’s next victim.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse Unit is comprised completely of volunteers who not only donate their time and passion to help keep our community safe, but also their horse, trailers, and trucks to transport the horses to each and every event.

As I always say…”it takes a community to protect a community” and today’s “Neighborhood Walk and Talk” is a perfect example of just how true that statement really is.

Thank you to Indian River Colony Club for hosting us for today’s event as we love being with our great citizens and community.
