Eastern Florida State College Softball Team Back Home Tuesday for Doubleheader

Titans come into the doubleheader 9-1 on the season, admission is free

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team will be back at Titan Softball Complex on Tuesday afternoon for a doubleheader against the Florida State College at Jacksonville.

The Titans come into the doubleheader 9-1 on the season and will look to avenge the lone loss, which came against the Manta Rays.

Eastern Florida State College leads Region 8 in batting average so far this season, hitting .417 as a team after 10 games. The Titans have hit 11 home runs and scored 111 runs so far this season, both of which rank in the top six in the state.

Sophomore Aracelis Jimenez leads the FCSAA in batting average, hitting .621 this season, while teammates Avery Velazquez and Jaelynne Whipple are each hitting .500.

The Florida State College at Jacksonville comes into the matchup 8-10 on the season and is hitting .325 as a team, led by Araya Stearns, who is hitting .529 in 16 games. The Manta Rays split a series with the Titans on Feb. 7.

Tuesday’s doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m. at Titan Softball Complex, and admission is free. Fans can watch the doubleheader live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
