Eastern Florida State College Softball Team Opens Conference Season Tuesday Afternoon

Tuesday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team will open the Citrus Conference season on Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Seminole State College.
The matchup will be a battle of nationally-ranked teams as No. 11 Seminole State College will host the No. 12 Titans in a conference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
Seminole State College is 11-1 on the season and has won nine straight heading into the matchup. Emma Bastian is heading to the doubleheader hitting .548 which is fifth in the FCSAA.
Teammate Julianna Nieves has hit seven home runs which is tied for first in the FCSAA and has driven in 18 runs, hitting .483 this season.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the game 12-2 and is leading the FCSAA in batting average, hitting .408 heading into conference play.
Jaelynne Whipple, Aracelis Jimenez and Avery Velazquez all come into Tuesday’s game hitting .500 or better with Whipple leading the way with a .559 average, which is third in the state.
Her six triples leads the state and NJCAA Division I softball.
Tuesday’s doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. and fans can watch on the Seminole State College’s Raiders TV.
