BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – It’s time to go Mad! with Titusville Conservation’s March Mulch Madness!

Beginning March 1, Titusville water customers can receive a rebate from the City of Titusville’s Water Conservation Program when they purchase pine bark mulch.

The rules and application form for March Mulch Madness are available on Titusville’s website HERE.

What is March Mulch Madness? For every 4 bags of plain pine bark mulch bought during the month of March (March 1 through March 31), you can receive a $5 credit on your City of Titusville water bill. The maximum credit is $15 for 12 bags.

Adding mulch to your plant beds helps to retain moisture for your plants during the upcoming hot summer days.

According to Maureen Phillips, Titusville’s Water Conservation & Public Outreach Manager, “March Mulch Madness gives our water customers yet another way to save water in their yards.

This incentive encourages them to use mulch with their spring planting.” Ms. Phillips explained that mulch helps to retain water in plant beds and reduce weeds.

Plain pine bark mulch is long-lasting, does not leach chemicals like some other mulches, and is made from tree material normally discarded. With continued use, mulch can improve soil structure and reduce soil compaction.

The rebate is available for a limited time and is open only to City of Titusville single-family residential water customers.

To participate, water customers must purchase a minimum of 4 bags of plain pine bark mulch in March at their store of choice. The dated receipt(s) for the purchased mulch must state “pine bark,” “pine bark nuggets,” or “bark,” and must be submitted online with the rebate application.

Participants unable to upload receipts must print the application, attach their receipts, and mail the application and receipts to: Mulch Madness, City of Titusville Conservation, 2910 Garden Street, Titusville, FL 32796.

All paperwork must be submitted online or postmarked by April 6, 2026.

March Mulch Madness is only available for a limited time, so take advantage of this opportunity to save both money and water this spring. For more information about the program, visit Titusville.com/mulch or call 321-567-3865, option 1.
