BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Humane Society is looking to expand its team and is currently hiring several positions, including dedicated Animal Care Technicians, known as “Pet Pals,” to support overnight operations at its adoption centers.
The organization is seeking individuals to join its third-shift team, a critical role responsible for maintaining clean, safe and healthy environments for the dogs and cats in the shelters.
Animal Care Technicians work overnight to ensure the facilities are spotless and ready for animals to start each day in a comfortable setting.
According to the Brevard Humane Society, the position is both labor-intensive and mission-driven, requiring individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and committed to making a difference in the lives of shelter pets.
“These overnight roles are the backbone of our adoption centers,” the organization said in its announcement. “The work ensures that every animal wakes up in a safe and well-maintained space.”
The nonprofit is also recruiting for several additional positions, including a driver and a wellness veterinarian, along with other roles that support the daily operations of the shelters and help prepare animals for adoption.
Those interested in applying are encouraged to review the detailed job descriptions and submit an application online through the Brevard Humane Society’s careers page.
Applicants are asked not to call the front desk so staff can remain available for adoption services and emergency calls.

The Brevard Humane Society serves communities across Brevard County by rescuing, caring for and finding homes for thousands of animals each year. Officials say expanding their team helps ensure they can continue providing high-quality care while connecting more pets with loving families.
