Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Brevard County Until 4 p.m., National Weather Service Says

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Brevard County at 3:24 p.m. EDT Sunday, March 15.
The warning is set to expire at 4 p.m. EDT.
The Melbourne forecast office was showing active severe weather alerts for the area Sunday afternoon as storms moved across East Central Florida.
Residents in the warned area should move indoors immediately and stay away from windows until the warning expires.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when storms are capable of producing damaging winds, large hail or dangerous lightning. Forecasts for Brevard County on Sunday also called for showers and thunderstorms, with some storms capable of gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
