Rutledge leads initiatives that prepare students for career pathways

Rachel Rutledge, a Career and Technical Education Director for Brevard Public Schools, has been named Lead Brevard Chief Executive Officer. According to a Lead Brevard spokesperson, she brings extensive experience in education, leadership development, and community collaboration to her new role at LEAD Brevard.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA —  Rachel Rutledge, a Career and Technical Education Director for Brevard Public Schools, has been named Lead Brevard Chief Executive Officer.

As the BPS Career and Technical Education Director for Brevard Public Schools, Rutledge leads initiatives that prepare students for career pathways aligned with workforce and economic development needs throughout Brevard County.

According to a Lead Brevard spokesperson, Rutledge brings extensive experience in education, leadership development, and community collaboration to her new role at LEAD Brevard.

“LEAD Brevard plays a vital role in developing informed, connected, and forward-thinking leaders for our community,” said Rutledge.

“I am honored to step into this role and build on the organization’s strong legacy while continuing to create meaningful leadership experiences that strengthen Brevard County.”

Rutledge’s first day is May 1, and she will work with outgoing CEO Kristin Bakke for a smooth transition before Bakke’s retirement on May 31.
