Brevard County Sheriff’s Office announced on Saturday that they have arrested Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School Math Teacher Kirsten Rose, 37, for having sexual intercourse with a student.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools officials have voted to terminate a teacher from Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School following serious allegations involving a student.

According to district officials, Kirsten Rose, 37, was removed from her position after the school board voted on Tuesday night to end her employment.

The decision comes 18 days after she was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

The action follows allegations that Rose engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a minor student over an extended period.

The situation came to light after the student reportedly disclosed the relationship to his parents.

In a statement, Brevard Public Schools officials said they are cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities as the investigation continues.

“We are cooperating fully with law enforcement and are deeply troubled by these allegations,” the district said. “The District remains committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.”

No further details have been released as the case remains under investigation.
