BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Samih Daubney, a student at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School has been selected as one of the Top 100 Emerging Innovators of 2026 — earning global recognition for his work to advance pediatric cancer research and support families affected by childhood illness.
Daubne is the founder of Confronting Childhood Cancer (C.C.C.), a nonprofit organization he created to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.
Inspired by his own family’s journey, Daubne has turned personal experience into a mission to help others — rallying his school community and extending Edgewood’s impact well beyond the classroom.
The Emerging Innovator Awards honor high school students around the world who are leading creative efforts to address local and global challenges.
Daubne was chosen from a competitive pool of applicants representing 29 countries and 25 U.S. states.

As a Top 100 honoree, Daubne earned an exclusive invitation to the Limitless World Summit, which was held April 23-24 in Wilmington, Delaware, where awardees were formally celebrated for their achievements.
He will also continue in the competition for the chance to be named the 2026 Emerging Innovator of the Year.
“Samih has taken a deeply personal experience and turned it into something powerful: hope, action, and real support for families walking one of life’s hardest roads,” said Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School Principal Ingratta.
“The entire Edgewood community supports Samih and his determination to bring forth change. We are so proud to see Samih recognized on a global stage. We are honored to call him one of our own.”
The Emerging Innovator Awards program is designed to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders by spotlighting young people’s potential to build a brighter, more equitable future.
