Port Canaveral Public Safety Director Cory Dibble Honored for Service to Maritime Community

U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos delivered the keynote address
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Cory Dibble, Director of Public Safety and Security for Port Canaveral, was recognized for his contributions to the maritime community with the Exceptional Civilian Service Award from the Navy League of the United States during a reception in Melbourne on Thursday evening.
The award, presented by the Cape Canaveral Council of the organization, honors Dibble’s leadership and dedication in supporting the region’s seafaring operations and maritime safety efforts.
The Navy League of the United States is a nonprofit civilian organization that advocates for and supports America’s sea services, including the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and the U.S.-flag Merchant Marine.
In addition to the award, Dibble received a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos, who delivered the keynote address at the event.
The recognition highlights Dibble’s impact on Port Canaveral’s public safety operations and his role in strengthening partnerships across military, maritime, and local agencies along Florida’s Space Coast.
Officials and attendees praised Dibble’s commitment to service and leadership in helping ensure the safety and security of one of the nation’s busiest cruise and cargo ports.
