Propeller Club of Port Canaveral Named Southeast Region Port of the Year

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — The Propeller Club of Port Canaveral earned top honors at this year’s Southeast Region Annual Conference, being named Southeast Region Port of the Year.
The recognition came as the local club hosted the regional conference, welcoming maritime leaders and industry professionals from across the Southeast.
The event highlighted Port Canaveral’s continued growth and influence within the maritime sector.

Featured speakers included Deputy Maritime Administrator Sang Yi, International Propeller Club President Costis Frangoulis, and Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray, who addressed attendees on key topics impacting the maritime industry, including global trade challenges, workforce development, and the future of U.S. shipping.
As part of the conference, attendees toured Port Canaveral aboard Space Coast River Tours’ vessel Blue Dolphin, offering a firsthand look at one of the nation’s busiest and fastest-growing ports.
Participants also gathered for networking and social events throughout the conference, including a luncheon at Rising Tide Tap & Table and the annual ShrimpFeast fundraiser, a signature event hosted by the Propeller Club of Port Canaveral.
Organizers credited the conference’s success and the prestigious award to the support of the title sponsor, Port Canaveral, as well as numerous sponsors, volunteers, and attendees.
The Southeast Region Port of the Year designation underscores the Propeller Club of Port Canaveral’s leadership in promoting the maritime industry and fostering collaboration across the region.
