WATCH FULL CEREMONY: One of the largest military enlistment ceremonies in Central Florida took place Friday evening as Brevard Public Schools hosted the 2026 Military Enlistment Ceremony of the Space Coast at Viera High School Stadium.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Approximately 250 future service members proudly took the Oath of Enlistment during the 2026 Space Coast Enlistment Ceremony, marking a significant milestone for students across Brevard County as they committed to serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The oath was administered by Col. Chatman, Commander of Space Launch Delta 45, as family members, educators, and community leaders gathered to witness the moment. The ceremony highlighted the dedication and courage of the enlistees, who have chosen to serve their country across all military branches.
Standing in support were an additional 250 Brevard Public Schools Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) cadets representing 14 high schools throughout the district. Their presence created a powerful visual display of leadership, discipline, and unity, underscoring the strong military tradition within the Space Coast community.
The event drew a wide range of local, state, and federal leaders, including Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, keynote speaker Congressman Mike Haridopolos, Sen. Debbie Mayfield, Rep. Monique Miller, and Rep. Brian Hodgers.
Members of the Brevard Public Schools leadership team and School Board were also in attendance, showing unified support for the students.
The Space Coast Enlistment Ceremony continues to serve as one of the largest events of its kind in Central Florida, recognizing young men and women who are stepping forward with purpose and a commitment to something greater than themselves.
Community leaders expressed pride in the enlistees, noting their willingness to answer the call to service and represent the next generation of American military personnel.
