BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Last night, I was honored to be part of one of the most amazing and heartwarming events…”Runway to Hope” that works to help families impacted by childhood cancer, right here in Central Florida.
During the event I got the pleasure of escorting a young lady named “Azalea” on the runway, who is one of the many children the event supports in the fight against childhood cancer.
Saint and I attended the event for the second time and of course he was a huge hit in his tuxedo as he hung out with all the kids before they took to the runway.
During the program over 100 kids, who have been diagnosed with cancer, get to walk the runway sporting incredible outfits they personally hand selected from Bloomingdale’s and as you can see, Azalea had an amazing time as she walked the runway giving huge smiles in return to the cheers of the huge crowd.
This event truly touches your heart as throughout the night I met and talked with many of our own Brevard residents who have a child battling cancer, parents who unfortunately lost a courageous child to this disease, and even doctors, nurses, school teachers, and care givers from our community who give everything they have to help those courageously fighting pediatric cancer.
The event was founded by Attorney Mark NeJame and his wife Josie, and hosted by Derek Hough, from Dancing With The Stars!! Every year, this event raises millions of dollars to help fund local hospitals with pediatric cancer units, as well as patients and families of pediatric cancer.
Last night’s event was attended by over 2,500 people from central Florida with many of those on the runway and their families being from right here in Brevard County.
I would like to personally thank Mark and Josie NeJame for inviting me to be a part of such an amazing event and for all they do to help the parents and children impacted by this horrible disease.
Please visit runwaytohope.org for more information about this amazing organization, the resources they have available, and how you can volunteer to assist in their efforts.
Please keep all of these precious angels and their families in your thoughts and prayers!
