BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — Construction is officially underway on a new $38 million Compass by Margaritaville Hotel in Cape Canaveral, a project expected to further strengthen the Space Coast’s growing tourism and hospitality industry.

The new hotel will feature 150 guest rooms designed with the laid-back, island-inspired style that has become synonymous with the Margaritaville brand. The development will also include a signature restaurant and bar, offering guests and visitors a tropical dining experience inspired by the coastal lifestyle.

The Compass by Margaritaville brand is designed to provide travelers with a relaxed resort atmosphere while serving as a convenient destination for vacationers visiting Florida’s beaches, cruise terminals, and nearby attractions.

Located in Cape Canaveral, the hotel is expected to attract cruise passengers traveling through Port Canaveral, beachgoers, business travelers, and tourists visiting the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and other Space Coast destinations.

City officials and developers say the project represents another significant investment in Brevard County’s tourism economy, which continues to experience growth fueled by the region’s expanding cruise industry, frequent rocket launches, and year-round visitors.

Once completed, the hotel will add 150 rooms to Cape Canaveral’s lodging inventory while creating new jobs during both construction and ongoing hotel operations.

The Compass by Margaritaville development joins a growing list of new hotels and hospitality projects helping accommodate increasing visitor demand along Florida’s Space Coast.

Construction is now underway, with additional project updates and an anticipated opening timeline expected to be announced as work progresses.
