MIAMI, FLORIDA — One of the most anticipated matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes center stage Saturday as Norway and England meet in a quarterfinal showdown with a coveted spot in the tournament’s final four at stake.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET at Miami Stadium, where two of Europe’s top teams will square off in a matchup headlined by world-class strikers Erling Haaland of Norway and Harry Kane of England.
Norway enters the match riding a wave of confidence after stunning five-time world champion Brazil 2-1 in the Round of 16. Haaland scored twice in that victory and has been one of the tournament’s most dangerous attackers, leading Norway on its deepest World Cup run in history.
A win Saturday would send the Norwegians to their first-ever World Cup semifinal.
England, managed by Thomas Tuchel, advanced by edging Mexico 3-2 in an entertaining Round of 16 contest. The Three Lions have now reached three consecutive World Cup quarterfinals and are seeking another appearance in the semifinals after consistently contending on the international stage.
