Special Marine Warning Issued for Brevard County Coastal Waters Until 3:30 P.M.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Special Marine Warning for Brevard County’s coastal waters until 3:30 p.m. Monday.
The warning covers Atlantic waters from the Volusia-Brevard County line to Sebastian Inlet, extending up to 20 nautical miles offshore.
Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately and remain alert for rapidly changing conditions, including strong wind gusts, lightning and suddenly higher waves near thunderstorms.
The afternoon marine forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms to become likely, with winds and waves potentially increasing significantly near storms.
Mariners should continue monitoring official weather alerts before returning to the water.
