BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s cross country team will make its season debut on Saturday morning at the Uncle Nick’s XC Bagel Run in Lakeland.
The Titans will run in the Florida Southern College event at Holloway Park in Lakeland in the first of four events.

Eastern Florida will be one of seven women’s teams competing in the meet, which features mostly NCAA Division II teams.
“The course is not a fast one, but a lot of my girls ran it in high school. It is a nice course,” Eastern Florida State College women’s cross country coach Doug Butler said.
“It is the first meet of the season, so we just need to get them back into race mode again and learning how to run through a little discomfort.”
The women’s team is looking to build on last season’s 16th-place finish in the national tournament, and the trio of Aubrey Orcutt, Kyla Waymire, and Ember Michaels all return with a lot of experience from last season.
The women’s race is scheduled to begin at 7:50 a.m. on Saturday.
