Brevard County Forecast: Morning Showers Possible South of Cape Canaveral, High Rip Current Risk at Beaches
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Coastal showers and a few thunderstorms are forecast Saturday morning, with the greatest focus south of Cape Canaveral, including portions of Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Indialantic and Melbourne Beach.
Rain chances are expected to shift farther inland during the afternoon and evening, while warm and humid conditions continue across the Space Coast.
Residents heading outdoors should watch for changing weather conditions and move indoors if thunder is heard.
A high risk of rip currents exists at all Brevard County beaches. Beachgoers are urged to avoid entering the surf, as dangerous currents can pull swimmers away from shore.
If caught in a rip current, remain calm, float and signal for help. Swim parallel to the shoreline to escape the current, then return to shore at an angle once free.
