BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Three Little League divisions finished up Thursday night at McKnight Family Sports Complex in Rockledge.
The 10, 11 and 12-year old Softball division pitted the visiting Mims Little League (MLL) against Rockledge Little League (RLL).
MLL scored two in the first inning but RLL answered back with two runs in their half of the inning. However, MLL added three more runs in the third and two more in the fourth, eventually winning the gae 7-6 in six innings.
RLL made it very interesting as they scored two in the fourth to make the score 7-4 and then platted one in the fifth and another in the final inning to come up just short.
For RLL, Myah Norris had a double and Henna Obeyhim added 2 doubles. Skylar Brown was the winning pitcher for MLL.
This win makes Mims the District 22 champs and they will represent the District at the Section 3 Tournament, July 8th, in Deland.
Port Saint John Advances
Also at McKnight, the Mims Little League (MLL) Junior Softball team was visiting to play the Port St. John Little League (PSJLL).
