Garbage Truck Dumps Load of Trash on Roadway in Viera After Catching Fire, No Injuries Reported

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Fire Rescue has responded to a scene of a garbage truck that caught on fire inside a load it was carrying Monday near the 6800 block of Murrell Rd. in Viera.

Officials say the garbage truck was forced to dump the load on the street after it caught on fire.

BCFR was able to extinguish blaze a short time later but has resulted in a mess in the area.

The fire was first reported around 11:32 a.m.

Nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
