ELECTION 2024

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has endorsed current State Representative Fine (R-Melbourne Beach) for State Senate, District 19. Fine first won election to the Florida House in 2016 and was the first candidate running for the Florida Legislature endorsed by President Donald J. Trump.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has endorsed current State Representative Randy Fine (R-Melbourne Beach) for State Senate, District 19.

If Fine defeats Charles “Chuck” Sheridan in the August 20 Republican Primary Election, he will then take on Democrat Vance Ahrens in the November General Election. The incumbent District 19 Senator Debbie Mayfield can’t seek reelection to the Senate because of term limits and is now running for the state house.

“Randy Fine has been a conservative warrior on issues that keep us safe – combatting illegal immigration, Backing the Blue, and fighting the unreasonable and dangerous policies pushed by the Biden administration,” said Moody.

“For the past eight years, he has been a fighter in the Florida House – I endorse Randy and look forward to continuing our partnership as he serves in the Florida Senate.”

Fine said he was proud to fight alongside General Moody as she has taken on the destructive policies coming out of Washington, and is honored by her endorsement.

“American is on a precipice between normalcy and radical leftist lunacy, and I am excited about continuing to work with Ashley to ensure Florida leads – and wins,” said Fine

Fine first won election to the Florida House in 2016 and was the first candidate running for the Florida Legislature endorsed by President Donald J. Trump. He has also been endorsed by Florida Senate President-designate Ben Albritton and the Florida Republican Senate Campaign Committee.

Fine has also received the endorsement of U.S. Senator Rick Scott, Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson, State Senator and Republican National Committeeman Joe Gruters, State Senator Erin Grall, fellow Brevard State Representatives Thad Altman, Robbie Brackett, and Chase Tramont, neighboring Volusia Representative Webster Barnaby, Brevard County’s conservative School Board Majority, Chairwoman Megan Wright and Members Matt Susin and Gene Trent, Port Canaveral Commissioner Wayne Justice and former Commissioner Tom Weinberg, and former Senate President from Brevard Mike Haridopolos.

The International Union of Police Associations, Florida Family Action, Faith and Freedom Coalition, and the Florida Professional Firefighters have also given endorsements, according to a Fine spokesperson.

Florida state senators earn an annual salary of $29,697, and serve four-year terms, with a two-term limit.
