OBITUARY: U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Robert ‘Bob’ E. Pruett of Viera Passed Away Nov. 22

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Senior Master Sergeant (USAF) Robert “Bob” E. Pruett of Viera, FL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 22, 2024.
Bob was born on January 2, 1954, in Orlando, FL, the son of Gene Pruett and Elizabeth McLarnon Whitlinger. He grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, where he met his high school sweetheart, Bonnie, at the age of 16.
Bob and Bonnie married after high school. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Texas, Alaska, Wyoming and Florida throughout his 22 years of service. He retired as an Air Force Recruiter in 1994.
After his retirement, he drove a school bus for Brevard County Schools.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, camping, cookouts, traveling, and woodworking. Bob was a well-respected resident of Grand Isle and helped with many community events.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Bonnie Pruett; his loving children, Robert (Bobby) Pruett II. and his wife Jennifer of Melbourne Beach, Florida and Brian Pruett of Viera, Florida.
He was a proud loving grandfather, “PeePaw” to Tyler, Emma, Chandler and Greysen. Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth McLarnon Whitlinger, and his brother, Michael Pruett.
Funeral Services for Robert E. Pruett will be held at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, located at 5400 Village Dr. Rockledge, Florida 32955, on December 15, 2024. A greeting will begin at 10 AM, followed by service at 11 AM.
