40th Space Coast State Fair, Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival Join Up This Weekend Offering Big Family Fun For Brevard

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival and The 40th Annual Space Coast State Fair will join forces this weekend, providing an awesome weekend of fun for the whole family at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera.
The 40th annual Space Coast State Fair, Brevard County’s most popular annual family event, will start this Friday, Feb. 21, and run for 10 days. It will combine with the highly popular Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival, which takes place over the opening weekend of the fair, Feb. 22-23.
“When we had the opportunity to schedule the fair during the Key Lime Pie Festival, we jumped at the chance,” said Giles Malone, Partner with Space Coast Daily and Brevard Production Inc.
“The timing of the Lisko Family Amusements swing through the southeast worked out perfectly to have the fair in conjunction with the Key Lime Pie Festival – so the attendees of the two normally separate events get the best of both worlds for one low price of just $7.”
The Space Coast State Fair is sponsored annually by Kelly Ford of Melbourne.
CHOCK FULL OF RIDES, GAMES, SHOWS, ARTS CRAFTS AND CONTESTS
The events will occur together at Space Coast Daily Park, 5775 Stadium Parkway in Viera.
“The park will host all the fun of the fair 100 rides, games, food stands, and free shows combined with the festival fun of Key Lime Fest,” said Malone.
Attendees pay just $7 to enter the park and then may ride the rides, play the games, and participate in all the fun of the Key Lime Pie Fest foods, drinks, contests, and shows.

Enjoy Marc Dobson as The One Man Band
Meet and enjoy The One Man Band at the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival. Marc Dobson puts on an inspiring performance playing self-created instruments. Marc, a lifelong musician and entertainer, plays 9.1 instruments at once. His repertoire aims to cover songs every age should recognize, covering the 1960s through today with a mix of Rock, Country, Pop, and more.
With improv comedic antics, no two shows are alike, which may be why Marc has been performing yearly at many fairs since the inception of his One-Man Band. Don’t miss Marc Dobson—the amazingly talented One-Man Band—at the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival.
The One Man Band will perform on Saturday and Sunday at 10 am, 2 pm and 4 pm.
Also, as this is the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival, you can meet and have fun with a real interstellar Robot!
The 7-foot-high BOT The Robot is a comedic, singing, interactive, and strolling character who will be landing at the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival on February 22 and 23 to meet all the guests.
The Pink Spice Band will perform from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22. The band plays a variety of music, including jazz, blues, rock, Motown, pop, and Latin dance.
Pink Spice is known for its positive energy, and it puts on a show that is sure to get the crowd engaged. The lead vocalist, Haia, was in an international event touring band before moving to Florida. Haia is also a doctor of Psychology who works with Veterans.
Saturday 11 am – 3 pm Teddy V in concert
Teddy V s is a local musician from Brevard County. He performs regularly around the Space Coast as a singer, guitarist, and entertainer. You can find his schedule and watch his videos on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
The Syd Taylor Band will rock the festival on Sunday from 10 am – 2 pm.
The 5-piece Syd Taylor Band will perform on Sunday from 10 am until 2 pm. One of the rising stars on Florida’s Space Coast, Syd Taylor, is described by her fans as “having the voice of an angel” and “I am in love with your voice..your voice is a blessing to the planet”. With those growing accolades, be sure to catch Syd Taylor with her awesome band, rock the festival guests from the Budweiser Stage.
Jimmy Riffle of the Gator Boys Alligator Wrestling: Three shows on Saturday and three shows on Sundays
Jimmy Riffle of the Gator Boys will show and tell and handle the large reptiles as seen on the HIT TV Show “Animal Planet” at both the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival and the Space Coast Strawberry Festivals, Feb 22-23 and March 15-16, 2025 at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera on Florida’s Space Coast.

Meet and feed the 15 goats and sheep, a mini donkey, a mini horse, a tortoise, pigs, ducks, chickens, snakes, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, rabbits, pigs, and much more. If you would like to feed the animals, you may purchase safe feed from the petting zoo for $2 a bag.
Pony Rides will also be available with Angela’s Ponies.

Unlimited ride armbands are $25, Monday-Thursday or $30 per person Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Then you should enter your Key Lime Pie in the Key Lime Pie contest at 2 pm on Sunday, February 23,2025 at the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera.
“Pies have long been recognized as one of America’s most beloved desserts, and nothing says Florida like Key Lime Pie. To celebrate this tasty culinary treat, the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival Committee is pleased to announce our first annual Key Lime Pie contest,” said Meg Tworkowski, Chairman of the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Contest.
“In Florida, we like to celebrate the things that make the Sunshine State unique. Citrus, eccentrics, people & pie. Our outdoor celebrations are fun & unforgettable. Our people are too. Come on down to Florida – the birthplace of Key Lime Pie for a little taste and you’ll see what we mean.”
The competition is open to home bakers of all ages and will be held at 2 pm January 21, 2024, at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera, Fl. Bakers may enter up to three separate homemade pies and submissions will be judged on overall appearance, crust, filling/topping, flavor, and creativity.
The judges panel consists of some of Brevard’s finest in the Space Coast food/hospitality industry, including Chef Scott Earick of Scott’s on Fifth, Chef Angela McEllin of Florida Academy of Baking, Chef Bill Farina formerly of Creative Catering, Chef Joe Alfano, former executive chef of Universal Properties, and Suzy Fleming Leonard, Florida Today Food and Dining writer.
Pies must be received at the Space Coast Daily Park Budweiser Stage by 12:00 pm on Sunday, 2/23/25. The event starts at 2:00 pm, winners will be announced after judging is completed and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded.

Homemade Key Lime Pie Contest Rules:
Contest is open to all ages
Home bakers only – Professional bakers may not submit an entry
Contestants may enter up to three pies
Each pie submitted must be homemade, bakers may not use pre-made store bought crust
Enter a Pie
Pies must be delivered to main show stage at Space Coast Daily Park, 5775 Stadium Parkway, Melbourne, Florida 32940, by 12:00 pm on 2/23/25.
Fill out registration form
a. Acknowledge that entered pies become the property of the Space Coast Key Lime Festival – you will not get your pie back.
b. If you win, you give your permission to have your photo taken during the announcement ceremony to be used for Pie Contest and Festival promotional marketing.
Each submission must include:
a. Two pies for each recipe submitted – one will be used for judging appearance/presentation, the other to be cut for tasting
b. A printed copy of your pie recipe including ingredients, preparation, and your name/ phone
number
Judging
a. Judging starts at 2:00 pm. Judges will not be present when pies are delivered to ensure the confidentially of the bakers.
b. Criteria for judging – Each pie will be judged on the following, out of 100 possible points
I. Overall Appearance: 1-20 points
II. Crust – color, texture, flavor: 1-20 points
III. Filling/topping – consistency, doneness: 1-20 points
IV. Flavor – deliciousness of every bite: 1-20 points
V. Creativity: 1-20 points
Scoring
a. Each judge will rate the pie and assign a numerical value in each criteria category. Judges will not consult/discuss their scoring during the judging.
b. The pie receiving the highest overall score is the winner. The Pie Contest Committee will tally the judging sheets.
c. In the event of a tie, the judges will have a second round of tasting/scoring with the original scoring criteria
d. Once the winning score has been determined, the judges decision is final.
e. Winners for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be announced and prizes awarded on the main stage at 3:00 pm.
Deposition of Pies – all pies become the property of the Space Coast Key Lime Pie Festival Contest Committee.

Melbourne, Florida 32940The new and larger location is at the 38-acre fairgrounds just across the street from Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida.
From the south: Take Wickham Road to Lake Andrew Drive. Head north on Lake Andrew Drive and turn left at the traffic light (west) on to Judge Fran Jamieson Way. Continue west and turn right at the traffic light on to Stadium Parkway. Proceed north about one mile and turn right at the white gates into the fair parking lots.
From the north: Take Stadium Parkway South and turn left (east) into the fairgrounds across the street from Space Coast Stadium.
PARKING: $5 per vehicle.
