Officials Work Prescribed Burn Today Near Viera, West of I-95

Prescribed Burns reduce the risk of wildfires

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA — Officials in Brevard County are working a prescribed burn on Wednesday in the Viera area, west of Interstate 95 and north of Wickham Road.

The operation was coordinated by Brevard County Emergency Management in partnership with local fire agencies, to promote forest health and reduce the risk of wildfires.
