Pine Island High School Baseball Team, which played in the Cocoa Beach Baseball Spring Training Program, won the 2025 Minnesota State Baseball Championship.

(COCOA BEACH SPRING TRAINING) – Pine Island High School, an attendee of Cocoa Beach Baseball Spring Training this spring and led by head coach Dan Drazan, won the Minnesota State Baseball Championship.

From the ball fields of Cocoa Beach Baseball Spring Training, Florida, where the very first spring training camp took place, to the diamonds of Minnesota, this baseball season of Pine Island High School has been marked by historic firsts and record-breaking moments.

The Panthers’ championship run was defined by grit and determination. “Gritty beats pretty,” said Head Baseball Coach Dan Drazan.

Each of their three tournament games tested their toughness, from extra-inning battles in the quarterfinals and semifinals to a nail-biting one-run win in the final. When the pressure was highest, the Panthers rose to the challenge and proved that relentless effort was their winning formula.

This Pine Island Panthers squad leaves behind a legacy of relentless defense, unstoppable offense, and unwavering grit, culminating in a long-awaited state championship victory for the first time in program history.
