As the new school year approaches, families in Titusville have several opportunities to gear up thanks to a variety of back-to-school events offering free supplies, entertainment, and community engagement.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — As the new school year approaches, families in Titusville have several opportunities to gear up thanks to a variety of back-to-school events offering free supplies, entertainment, and community engagement.

July 19: Two Events Offering Free Backpacks and Fun

The first round of events kicks off on Friday, July 19, with Project Backpack hosted by Andrew Pickett Law from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 605 S Palm Avenue.

The event promises free backpacks filled with supplies, face painting, a bounce house, kid crafts, and food trucks. Supplies are limited, and we encourage early arrival.

Later that day, the Curative Care Center will host its School Year Kickoff from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1027 Garden Street.

Attendees can enjoy free food, giveaways, and various school-themed activities.

July 26: Titus Landing Bash

On Friday, July 26, families are invited to the 2nd Annual Back-to-School Bash at Titus Landing from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event includes a kids’ activity zone, music, vendors, and a backpack and supply drive to support local students.

August 2: Two Simultaneous Giveaways

The back-to-school excitement continues into Saturday, August 2, with two major events. River Lanes Family Entertainment Center will hold a Drive-Thru Back to School Bash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 800 Cheney Hwy. Organizers will distribute 1,000 backpacks filled with supplies to students in grades K–12. No registration required, but children must be present.

At Astronaut High School, a BBQ and Backpack Giveaway will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event, sponsored by Parrish Medical Center and the City of Titusville Police Department, will feature free food, a DJ, snow cones, waterslides, yard games, and giveaways of school supplies. Children must be present to receive a backpack.

Each event is free to attend and aims to ensure that all students are equipped for a successful school year. Organizers recommend arriving early, as supplies are limited at many locations.
