SPACE COAST DAILY SHOW: Interviews with Brevard Emergency Management Director Jon Scott and School Board Member Matt Susin.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The latest edition of the Space Coast Daily Show featured two timely conversations as Brevard County gears up for both the height of hurricane season and the start of a new school year.
Brevard County Emergency Management Director Jon Scott joined the program to discuss hurricane preparedness as the Atlantic season approaches its peak. Scott emphasized the importance of having an emergency plan, stocking up on essential supplies, and staying informed through official updates. He noted that August and September historically bring the highest storm activity and urged residents not to become complacent.
“Preparedness is key,” Scott said. “Even if we’ve been lucky so far, conditions can change quickly. Having your plan and supplies ready now can make all the difference.”
The show also welcomed Brevard Public Schools District 4 Board Member Matt Susin, who shared updates as students prepare to return to class on Monday, August 11. Susin highlighted safety measures, staffing updates, and initiatives aimed at ensuring a successful start to the 2025–2026 school year.
“This is an exciting time for students, parents, and staff,” Susin said. “We’ve been working hard to make sure our campuses are ready, our teachers are supported, and our students have the resources they need to succeed.”
The Space Coast Daily Show continues to provide local residents with important information and community updates, keeping Brevard informed on issues that matter most.
