BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – It’s been a solid week of waves in Cocoa Beach, and the weekend forecast is keeping the surf energy alive—just with a bit of Florida’s signature summer flair (read: storms).
If you’re planning beach time, early mornings are your best bet before the clouds roll in.
Here’s a quick look at what to expect this Friday through Sunday, plus a sneak peek at a million-dollar oceanfront condo that puts you steps from the sand.
Friday, August 8
Expect hot and humid conditions with spotty morning storms and heavier thunderstorms by afternoon. Not the best beach day overall, but if you sneak out early, there’s still time to catch some clean 1–2 ft surf before the weather turns.
Saturday, August 9
Waist-high waves are possible in the morning, especially with the tide push. Storms are expected again later in the day, so get out early if you’re looking to paddle out or take a long beach walk.
Sunday, August 10
More sticky, stormy weather on the way. Surf may bump up a bit, but showers in the morning and stronger storms in the afternoon are likely. Watch the radar and grab your surf window while you can.
