City of Melbourne Issues Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issues in Pinewood Road Area

A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient

The City of Melbourne has issued a notice that water will be shut off to customers at 3900 – 4497 Pinewood Road, and 1405 and 1465 N. John Rodes Blvd. Therefore, as a precaution, once water service is restored, the City advises that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The City of Melbourne has issued a notice that water will be shut off to customers at 3900 – 4497 Pinewood Road, and 1405 and 1465 N. John Rodes Blvd.

Therefore, as a precaution, once water service is restored, the City advises that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.

Water has been shut off to perform a repair on a hydrant in the area. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice is expected to remain in effect until the required bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
