Eastern Florida State College Softball Player Aracelis Jimenez Named FCSAA Division I Player of Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College softball player Aracelis Jimenez had a big start to the season and is named the FCSAA Division I Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The centerfielder went 7-for-10 in four games last week, including a three-hit game against the Florida State College at Jacksonville. Jimenez also walked five times and did not strike out and took advantage of being on base with seven stolen bases and scored 12 runs.
The sophomore from Orlando had a double and drove in three runs, helping the Titans to a 3-1 record this week.
For the season, Jimenez is 16-for-21 this season with a couple of doubles and a triple. She has walked eight times without striking out and has 10 stolen bases. Jimenez has scored 19 runs and has driven in eight runs.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Florida Gateway College for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday. They will be back home for a doubleheader against the Florida State College at Jacksonville on Feb. 17.
