BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College baseball team won both ends of a doubleheader to sweep the three-game series with Seminole State College on Saturday.

The Titans hit the road and won the first game 8-5 and the second game 7-6 to improve to 3-3 in the Citrus Conference.

Titans erupted for five runs in the top of the third inning as Andrew Prieto started it with an RBI single.

Seminole State would get one back in the bottom of the third inning and two more in the bottom of the fourth inning and one more in the fifth to cut the Titans lead to 5-4.

Omir Santos singled as two runs scored to make it 7-4. Bryce Jackson had a sacrifice fly to take an 8-4 lead.

Santos had three hits while Jackson went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In Game 2, the Titans held on for a win as Seminole State College scored five times in the ninth inning but Bradley Link got out of the jam to give the Titans a sweep.

Up 1-0, Hutson Guinn hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning. It was Guinn’s first home run of the season.

Jacob Miller hit an RBI double to make it 5-1 and then in the eighth inning Bryce Jackson hit a two-run home run to make it 7-1. It was Jackson’s second home run of the season.

Jacob Goldman allowed one hit over three innings of relief to pick up the win. Starting pitcher Kyle Hirsch allowed just one run over four innings.

Eastern Florida State College will open a three-game series with Miami Dade College on Thursday at Miami Dade College.

The series will come to Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
