BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School Math Teacher for having sexual intercourse with a student.
Brevard County Sheriff’s Office officials said yesterday afternoon, Agents with the BCSO Special Victims Unit arrested 37-year-old Kirsten Rose on an arrest warrant for Lewd and Indecent Exposure Offenses against a student by an authority figure and 5 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
“The investigation began in March when the parents of a male student believed he was having an inappropriate relationship with a teacher, after he was late coming home from work one evening,” BCSO officials said.
“The parents checked their son’s location and noticed he was at a residence that was unknown to them, and when questioned regarding his whereabouts, he stated he was at his girlfriend’s house, but refused to say who she was.”
As the parents continued to question him, he ultimately revealed that he was in a relationship with his teacher.
As a result, BCSO Agents from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation that revealed the student and teacher had been communicating via Instagram outside of school in November of 2025.
The conversations continued through February of 2026, when the relationship turned sexual on multiple occasions during the months of February and March.
Based on evidence obtained during the investigation, Rose was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail on no-bond status.
“We can confirm that Kirsten Rose, a math teacher at Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School, was arrested by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student,” BCSO officials said.
“Brevard Public Schools took immediate action, placing Ms. Rose on administrative leave. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement. We are deeply troubled by these allegations. The District remains committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.”
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who may have additional information in reference to this case is asked to contact Agent Kimone Edwards of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victims Unit at 321-633-8419.
