BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — Emergency crews are responding to an aircraft incident on Columbia Boulevard, also known as State Road 405, in Titusville.
The incident occurred on Columbia Boulevard between Sisson Road and South Washington Avenue, near Space Coast Regional Airport, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of the roadway have been closed while the Titusville Fire Department and other emergency personnel work at the scene.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
Residents and businesses near Sisson Road and Columbia Boulevard should also prepare for power outages. Florida Power & Light has shut down part of the electrical grid in the area to allow emergency crews to respond safely.
Authorities have not yet released information about the aircraft, possible injuries or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
