Brevard Sheriff’s Agents Dismantle Cocoa Meth Lab

Two Arrested
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit dismantled a meth lab operating at 6996 Evergreen Road in Cocoa on Tuesday.
Major John Mellick of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said sheriff’s agents arrested Matthew Arrington of Cocoa, 28, and Ramona Bush of Cocoa, 24, for trafficking in methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and possession of listed chemicals.
The suspects were being taken to the Brevard County Jail and will be held on a no bond status.
Mellick said the lab was discovered when officers of the Rockledge Police Department went to the residence to follow-up on an unrelated law enforcement matter.
Rockledge officers made observations leading them to believe a methamphetamine lab was present and contacted agents of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit.
When they arrived at the residence, an active lab was found inside a structure at the rear of the property, according to Mellick.
A search warrant was then executed on the residence at which time agents discovered about 43 grams of finished methamphetamine and 2,800 grams of methamphetamine oil.
