Florida Pain Doctor, Stanley Golovac, M.D.

Florida Pain Management Doctor Stanley GolovacDr. Stanley Golovac completed his education at UTESA University in 1985, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Golovac completed his postgraduate training in Family Practice Residency Program at St. Mary Hospital in New Jersey and in the Department of Anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Dr. Golovac gained extensive clinical experience in anesthesiology, emergency room medicine, and alternative services. He served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesia at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Center for several years, and then as a practicing Pain Consultant in the Miami area. He currently utilizes his expertise at Florida Pain, Merritt Island Surgical Center and Space Coast Surgery Center (located at our facility).

Dr. Golovac is a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Board of Pain Management. He is certified by the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates, Federal License Examination and in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, International Anesthesia Research Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, and Florida Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Golovac is also a member of the American Medical Association, and a current recipient of the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award Certificate (AMA PRA). This certificate recognizes physicians who complete at least fifty hours of continuing medical education annually.

Florida Pain Doctor, Richard Gayles, M.D.

Florida Pain Doctor Richard GaylesDr. Richard Gayles brings a wealth of training and experience to Florida Pain. He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of Michigan in 1987 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1991 at the University of Michigan’s School of Medicine. After graduation, Richard completed a residency and Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland.

Dr. Gayles obtained further clinical experience in anesthesiology at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, England. He completed a Chronic Pain Fellowship at theCleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, where he was awarded the “Fellow of the Year Award” in June of 1997. He currently utilizes his expertise at Florida Pain, Merritt Island Surgical Center and Space Coast Surgery Center (located at our facility).

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Gayles has participated in research over the past fourteen years, both here at home and abroad. Dr. Gayles is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management. He is also certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine, National Board of Medical Examiners and by the American Heart Association in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Gayles holds the Following Special Affiliations: Member of Coast Guard Auxiliary and FAA (an Aero Medical Examiner) ANGEL Flight.

Florida Pain Doctor, Ashish Udeshi, MD

Dr. Ashish Udeshi, is a life-time Floridan, who was born in Titusville, Florida and grew up in South Florida. Dr. Udeshi received a Bachelor of Science with Honors distinction at the University of Miami in 2004.

Udeshi-Ashish-285Upon graduation Dr. Udeshi attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine graduating in 2008. He completed residency in Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He went on to complete a fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Interventional Pain Medicine, and was chosen as the Chief Fellow. Dr. Udeshi is also a Voluntary Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

During his education and training Dr. Udeshi was recognized as the Emmanuel Papper Medical Student Award in Anesthesia 2008. He received awards for “Outstanding Anesthesia Resident in Pain Medicine”, “Outstanding Fellow in Pain Medicine”, and American Pain Society Foundation Scholar recipient.

Dr. Udeshi has devoted his time to various local, state, and international organizations. He has worked with Project Medishare and Doctor’s Goodwill Foundation, and has traveled to India, Tibet, Haiti, and Nicaragua providing medical care with other community physicians.

He has presented at numerous national conferences and is published author in topics of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. Dr. Udeshi has been affiliated with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Florida Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Pain Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, and Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Udeshi is extremely thrilled to be back in Brevard County and be part of the Florida Pain Family. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology and will sit for the Pain Medicine Boards in 2014.

PA-C, Beth Holtham

Florida Pain Management PA-CBeth Holtham graduated from Nova South Eastern University’s Physician Assistant program in 1998.

She obtained initial certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and has maintained certification.

She is a member of The Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, The American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Space Coast Clinicians Group.

Ms. Holtham has a unique and diverse medical practice background that includes: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Urgent Care, Pulmonologist, and Urology. She has devoted over ten years of practice to Neurology and Interventional Pain Management in Brevard County, Florida.

Beth joined the team of clinicians at Florida Pain in October 2010 where she provides compassionate care to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions.

Susan Clark, ARNP

Susan-Clark-285Susan Clark, ARNP, is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner as well as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is also a Certified Research Coordinator.

She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Florida in 1997. Prior to this she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Florida Tech in Melbourne, Florida.

Her professional memberships include American Nurses Association, Florida Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Space Coast Clinicians, North American Spine Society and American Academy of Pain Management.

Ms. Clark’s medical practice background includes Intensive Care, Urgent Care and Spine Surgery. And since 2000 she has been practicing in the field of Spine Surgery and Interventional Pain Management.

Susan joined the team of clinicians at Florida Pain in May 2008, left for a short period of time and has returned to provide care to patients with acute and chronic pain conditions as well as osteoporosis.
