BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Long Doggers Eateries, Inc. broke ground on its new Viera location this week at 1970 Viera Blvd.

John “L.J” Burr, President and CEO of Long Doggers Eateries, Inc., introduced District 4, Brevard County Commissioner Mary Bolin Lewis who offered remarks on the expansion of the local company into Viera.

This will be Long Doggers’ fifth location in the Melbourne area since 1997. The new location will employs 30 workers in the 3,000 sq. ft. facility that features its signature surf/beach theme. There is no word yet when the restaurants will be ready to open.

‘Radically Relaxed Grill & Brew’

“Long Doggers Radically Relaxed Grill and Brew are locally owned and operated restaurants with great food and great fun in a totally casual environment,” says the company’s website, LongDoggers.com.

“Eat inside and experience the surf shop atmosphere or eat outside to enjoy the great Florida weather. A staple for visitors and locals alike, the resturant has been selected “Best of Brevard” in the Hot Dog category every year since 1997, “Best Wings” since 2005 and “Best Servers” in 2006.

The restaurant has also been featured on The Food Network’s special Surf n’ Turf with CJ and Damien Hobgood.
