BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION – Despite a weather delay of about an hour, United Launch Alliance successfully launched their #AEHF3 mission on an #AtlasV this morning at 4:10 a.m. EDT this morning from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The 2-hour launch window opened at 3:04 am EDT.
The AEHF system is the successor to the five-satellite Milstar constellation and will provide significantly improved global, highly secure, protected, survivable communications for all warfighters serving U.S. national security.
LAUNCH FACTS & STATS
Rocket/Payload: An Atlas V 531 will launch the third Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF-3) mission for the U.S. Air Force.
Date/Site/Launch Time: Wednesday, Sept. 18, from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The two-hour launch window opened at 3:04 a.m. EDT and launch was was 4:10 a.m.
