Brevard Supervisor of Elections Office Recounts Confirm Winners of Two Races

The Brevard County Supervisor of Elections and Department of State’s Division of Elections is providing vote-by-mail (formerly referred to as absentee) ballot and early voting statistics during Florida’s 2016 General Election.
Recounts took place Wednesday in two Brevard County races that were too close to call on Election Day.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA (MY NEWS 13) – Recounts took place Wednesday in two Brevard County races that were too close to call on Election Day.

Brevard Supervisor of Elections Office workers recounted the Cocoa Beach City Commission Seat 3 and Palm Bay City Council Seat 3.

In the Cocoa Beach City Commission Seat 3 race, Karalyn Woulas won by a narrow eight votes over Mike Gautreaux after a machine and manual recount.

In the Palm Bay City Council Seat 3 race, Brian Jacob Anderson was declared the winner over Maria DeChristofano by 221 votes after the machine recount.

The close margins on Election Day triggered an automatic recount.
