Rick Kane Elected Vice Chair of State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board

Rick Kane, principal of Brevard County’s Kane Construction Management Inc., was elected vice chairman at the November meeting of the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, CILB.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Rick Kane, principal of Brevard County’s Kane Construction Management Inc., was elected vice chairman at the November meeting of the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, CILB.

The CILB is a division of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and meets regularly to consider applications for licensure, review disciplinary cases, and conduct informal hearings relating to both.

The board engages in rulemaking to implement the provisions set forth in its statutes and conducts other general business, as necessary. Mr. Kane currently chairs the State of Florida Construction Industry Recovery Fund.

He has served as the chair of the Continuing Education Committee and currently sits on the Rules Committee. Mr. Kane was appointed to the board in 2011 by Governor Scott.

Before forming KCMI he was the project executive for many major projects including Mall of Milena, The Waterside Shops and Festival Bay. Kane is a state licensed General Contractor.
